My name is Fabian, a social commerce enthusiast with multi-cultural experience in Europe and Asia. I am passionate about people, growth, the creator economy, social commerce and mental health.
For my experience in social commerce, live streaming / commerce, creators and TikTok/Douyin I get regularly quoted by major publications including The Newyork Times, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, Insider, SCMP, Tech in Asia etc.
I started my first company at the age of 16, and since then I founded and exited multiple ventures in industries from media, fashion, mental health and now my last creator-first business MANYCREATORS, which has been acquired by HSE, one of Europe’s largest live commerce companies.
In between, I’ve worked at different companies, from business development in software development in Poland at the age of 19, to becoming a VC and Accelerator Manager for a deep-tech venture capital firm in Singapore at the age of 22.
In 2017, my co-founder Yunheng and I started UPLAB, a Shenzhen-based creator-first MCN helping short-video and live stream creators become brands. As Yunheng belongs to one of the first by Bytedance contracted creators on Douyin (the Chinese and original version of TikTok), we have been involved since the early days back in 2016 in the app, working directly with some of China’s top content creators and getting access to one of the first access to social commerce features in China.
In 2020, we decided to use our creator and social commerce experiences from China and expand to Europe under the brand MANYCREATORS. We quickly scaled to a specialised MCN for TikTok Creators, reaching 100M+ every single month.
End of 2021, our business got acquired by HSE. While Yunheng keeps leading MANYCREATORS, I lead all social commerce activities at HSE. I designed a new business model, resulting in double digit millions commitment to execute strategy and scale the social commerce business in Europe. A couple of months later, we launched one of Europe’s first live shopping apps.
